Outset
Infant Mental Health is
a not-for-profit organisation which has been established in response
to what we believe is an overwhelming
societal need for high quality early years interventions
which aim to achieve secure attachments between infants and their
caregivers.
Through identifying and promoting programmes and projects which
are based on robust theory and driven by compassion, but
for which there is also a sound evidence base, our intention is
to
help lay
the foundations for practical and meaningful support to be
widely available in the public, voluntary and private sectors.
Outset Infant Mental Health has been established by a group of
like minded individuals, and was founded by Dr
Clare Gates,
in an attempt to address what they see as a major societal
problem. As a not-for-profit organisation they hope to work
alongside other
similar organizations, to generate enough interest and
expertise to ensure that high quality early years interventions
are widely
available.
