Dr Clare Gates,
MRCPsych – Founder |

Clare Gates graduated from
Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School and completed her higher
specialist training in Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry at St Georges Hospital in London. She now works as a
Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the NHS and in private
practice.
She was a co-founder of The Attachment Project, an innovative collaboration
between Child Mental Health and Social Care in Surrey which provides
specialist support to vulnerable children in long-term fostering
and adoptive placements. She runs a specialist outpatient service
for young people with Eating Disorders. Her seven years of experience
as Consultant in a busy CAMH Service has highlighted to her the
vital importance of the early years in the development of mental
illness
and the overwhelming unmet need for high quality Infant Mental
Health Services.With the help of like-minded individuals from
the business
world, who have volunteered their time and expertise, she
has founded Outset Infant Mental Health which aims to go
some way towards
bridging
this gap.
